LAST NIGHT IN SOHO met en scène l’histoire d’une jeune femme passionnée de mode et de design qui parvient mystérieusement à retourner dans les années 60 où elle rencontre son idole, une éblouissante jeune star montante. Mais le Londres des années 60 n’est pas ce qu’il parait, et le temps semble se désagréger entraînant de sombres répercussions.

 

Mon opinion :

–  J’ai tellement aimé les décors de ce Londres des années 60.

–  Je me suis demandé, au début du film, si Ellie et Sandie étaient la même personne. Je pensais qu’Ellie avait une double personnalité.

–  Le retournement de situation final est vraiment surprenant. Je n’avais absolument rien soupçonné avant de voir les nom et prénom sur les enveloppes du courrier.

–  Au final, j’ai compris pourquoi Sandie a fait ce qu’elle a fait. Elle avait réellement de bonnes raisons et je n’arrive même pas à lui en vouloir.

–  Un film très surprenant, troublant et prenant.

In acclaimed director Edgar Wright's psychological thriller, Eloise, an aspiring fashion designer, is mysteriously able to enter the 1960s where she encounters a dazzling wannabe singer, Sandie. But the glamour is not all it appears to be and the dreams of the past start to crack and splinter into something far darker.

 

My review :

– I loved the decors of this London of the 60s.

– I wondered, at the beginning of the movie, if Ellie and Sandie were the same person. I thought Ellie had a dual personality.

– The final turnaround is really surprising. I had not suspected anything until I saw the first and last names on the envelopes of the mail.

– In the end, I understood why Sandie did what she did. She had really good reasons and I can’t even blame her.

– A very surprising, disturbing and compelling film.
